Tuition is provided by Duncan Rose who established Rose Drum School in 2004 to provide drum tuition both privately and in schools. Duncan has been playing drums for over 28 years to a grade 8 standard. He is part of the Vic Firth Private Drum Tutors Program and has had experience both playing live in bands and in recording studios.

Tuition is tailored to what you want to learn. Duncan teaches the excellent Rockschool exams up to Grade 8 so if you want to progress through exams then that can easily be catered for. If you want to learn songs, the studio has an ever growing list of available songs to learn in many different styles. Click on the song list link to see the current list of songs that can be learnt depending on your abilities. Whatever you want to learn the aim is to make it fun and enjoyable. Duncan writes his own tuition books each being based on the Rockschool graded exams.

You will also learn how to read music. This is an essential part of learning any instrument and will enable you to then learn songs yourself from tuition books as well as making practicing at home easier as all songs and excercises that are learnt have a sheet of printed music provided to the pupil at no extra cost. Reading music is also a great 'life skill' and can open up many doors to you in the future if you wish to pursue a career in the music industry

Duncan has a full CRB check and the studio has full public liability insurance.
